Platt Hall Portrait’s

Photography

The inspiration comes from experiencing the eclectic, ephemeral mood of Platt Hall Costume Gallery, in particular the cinematic quality of the empty display cabinets at the time. The cabinets housed a collection of mannequins that I was curiously drawn to and obsessively photographed.

The stillness and power of their glazed expressions adds to the mystery of their existence. The idea that objects and artifacts in museums have real characters and come to life at night has always been an enchanting notion to me.
