Staged photo shoot re-creating two famous portraits of Queen Victoria both alive and on her deathbed. The hand tinted quality of the print and the artificial flowers make reference to kitsch and its beginnings during this era due to mass re-production. Victoria was obsessed with collecting such objects and more bizarrely collected photographs of her own home from many different angles, to be displayed in a picture album which she flicked through as a favourite past time!
